钟山职业技术学院1998年11月，经江苏省人民政府批准，教育部备案筹建。筹建初期名为钟山学院，挂靠南京工业大学和南京艺术学院办学，2001年6月，获准正式建院独立办学。2002年4月，由教育部规范更名为钟山职业技术学院。沧桑砥砺，风雨兼程。学院在党和国家方针政策的正确指引下，在上级主管部门和社会各界的关心支持下，坚持“注重内涵、提升水平、创建特色、持续发展”的办学理念，践行“励学躬行”的校训，倾心培养高素质、技能型专门人才。
